Chuck Bell is a meteorologist with News4's Weather Plus team. His forecasts can be seen on NBC Weather Plus and Weatherplus.com in addition to various News4 newscasts. Bell also produces weather graphics for News4's weekday newscasts.

Born in Boston and raised in Atlanta, Bell's interest in weather started at a young age. During the 1974 "super-outbreak" of tornadoes and the 1975 "Governor's Tornado" in Atlanta, Bell and his classmates were forced to "duck and cover" in a safe hallway while the storm raged outside.

Bell's interest in weather continued at The University of Oklahoma, where he earned a degree in meteorology and chased tornadoes whenever possible. Following graduation and an internship at KOCO-TV in Oklahoma City, Bell's broadcast career included stints at WALB-TV in Albany, Ga., WYFF-TV in Greenville, S.C., and WSLS-TV in Roanoke, Va.

In 1999, Bell joined FOX25 in Oklahoma City. He distinguished himself during his coverage of the May 3, 1999, tornado outbreak during which 70 tornadoes killed 48 people and left more than $1.5 billion of damage. Bell stayed on the air for more than eight hours, warning residents and bringing the latest information to viewers.

Bell joined News4 in October 2004. He lives in Washington, D.C.
